Wet paint.....

Isn't this a great floor idea?

If I had this floor in my home I think it would take a while before I could confidently walk straight onto it without pausing first.

Or tentatively stepping onto it with one foot and then looking under my shoe to see if there was paint under it!

More black & white floor tiles.....

I have found another room with my much loved black and white floor tiles in prominent display.

It is an entrance hall with beautiful french doors, chandelier, silk covered gilt chairs and faded and aged stucco trimmed walls.

Another beautiful example of the black and white floor tiles I am having in the kitchen.
I know I have posted about them before but every time I see another example I have to add it to the folder so that when the time comes I can choose the size, finish and tile placement that will be right for the room space.

The only room in the house that I have a definite design idea for is the kitchen. I want black and white check floor tiles.

They are elegant and beautiful, yet very homely.

When I was about 6 years old I remember these tiles in our home. But then the 1970s arrived and they were ripped up to make way for brown lino.

In my villa they will live again!
