Polka dot heaven....

I LOVE this room.

The white walls, polished sheen floors, gold gilt architraves, wall paneling, fire place, mantle, mirror, crystal chandelier and..............huge black spots.

I know that the stylist wrapped the whole room in clear plastic with spots but to actually decorate a room as beautiful as this and REALLY cover it spots.

Well, I think that would be really something...............

Shall we dance...Degas

We have decided to have an exercise dance studio at the villa.
It will probably be a converted donkey stable and no where near as grand as these four studios but it's nice to dream isn't it?
It also gives us an opportunity to hang some beautiful art by Degas.

Red Dress, Black Suit & The Singing Butler

I have a lot of art work that I have decided not to take to Italy with me. This was one of them until The Knight came home and said "oh no....Your not selling this one".

I must admit I was surprised. I had just assumed that he never really took that much notice of what was on the walls. When I said this to him he said, "just because I don't mention them or stand there looking at it, doesn't mean I don't appreciate it. I grew up with this painting. It's like home to me".

So it looks like Jack Vettriano's 'The singing butler' painting is moving to Italy.

Oh no, he's found the other art in the sell pile and he doesn't look happy. Gotta go!
