Having experienced Catholic primary and secondary school with nuns as teachers taught me that nuns should not be school teachers.
Six miserable years at the hands of some of the most sad and cruel women I have ever met.
This has made me think about the nuns in Italy as I am sure I will see many in every day life.
Imagine my surprise to find these images of happy, laughing, playful, serene ordinary women. The exact opposite to what I grew up with.
I would very much like to meet and talk to the nuns in my area of Italy.
They look like they love life and remember how to have fun.
